I like the fact that Alicia Keys is very versatile with her singing and choice of songs she puts on her CD. I can listen to the whole CD without wanting to turn it off after the first three tracks. The various types of songs, works for me and keeps the CD interesting. I wouldn’t change anything about this album. In the song, Alicia Keys tells her audience not to give up on love no matter, even though it may be hard. It makes the song interesting and entertaining. In “The Thing About Love” the beat starts off slow, but then it speeds up. With it slow pace, it’s a love song that everyone can enjoy. My all-time favorite, “Like You’ll Never See Me Again” is a beautiful song with sad undertones, and in it Alicia encourages everyone to live and love as if it may end or disappear suddenly. She also has various love songs on the album. In the song, she sings for every woman to find the strength in herself to prevail over trials. “Superwoman” is an empowering song about female power. The hip, fast beat love song topped every chart except for Canada where it made second place. According to her official webpage, it topped the charts within 10 hours of being released. “No One” was an instant hit when it was released. The album is fast beat and slow paced songs intermixed.
Alicia Keys has made a CD with a track for everyone. The intended audience for this CD is everyone. With the help of Kerry “Krucial” Brothers, Linda Perry, John Mayer, Harold Lilly, Sean Garrett, Mark Batson, Dirty Harry, Swizz Beatz, and Jack Splash, Alicia Keys has made the best album this year. The R&B/Soul singer has a major hit on her hands. Alicia Key’s new and third album, “As I Am”, is her best yet.
